Great times! :)
Ok this is the second video I watch. Idk if I’m downshifting correctly. For sure as hell I’m not heal-toeing. I don’t do that. I do this … 1 - slow down with brake 2 - blip accelerator to pop gear stick out into neutral 3- blip accelerator again to rev match IN NEUTRAL 4 - throw stick in next lower gear. It provides me with a clean & smooth downshift. I figured I wouldn’t want to blip the accelerator while my foot is on the clutch.
Heel toe in a Countach us much easier
My car has 2 pedals so I don’t have to do any of that 🚙
I've been watching all heel and toe tutorial, tomorrow I'm very ready to take my daughter going to school 😎
Жаль что не понимаю о чем объясняют, очень интересно было бы с переводом всё о чём объясняют
Когда перегазовку делаешь с педали тормоза и быстро на газ, там на пониженную передачу нужно переключаться, или на повышенную?
This is BS and an urban legend. If you can quick shift and rev match (with throttle control, which is what you are poorly trying to do) then no need for heel toe technique unless you are in a rally car. Way quicker and more efficient. Good luck kids!
forgot to double clutch, you should release cluth to apply some rpm to secondary shaft
*Promo SM*
Never stop thinking you’re the fastest - Muhammad Ali maybe
Its called "supply and demand" telsa fucked this whole process up and people are taking advantage of it
not worth the 60k
Agreed
So you racing people , can you explain the benefits of this rather then just knowing the rpm range of your gears? Driving my mini cooper s and also the only manual I’ve driven , I usually can just go to a lower gear if need be while slowing down with no stutter or anything and full responsiveness at the pedal thru the whole thing . This seems unnecessary to me with my set up but maybe I’m missing something, coming to a light I hit the brakes and when I wanna take off just from driving the car I know what gear I need for what speed and don’t need any rev matching. Would perfecting this technique give me “even more” responsiveness even tho i feel I don’t. Loose any as is? (I do know how to rev match, learned in my motorcycle a while back and it carried over to the mini, dropping two gears would be more fun if I wasn’t scared ide bend a connecting rod every time 💀💀)
The benefit of this would only really be applicable to driving on a track. However, it doesn’t mean you can’t practice while daily driving. With extreme caution of course!
how much brake pressure? when i brake and try to blip the throttle i always brake too much and jerk forward
It’s much easier(and safer) to practice on track where the braking zones are way more aggressive than being on the street. On the flip side, being able to control your brake pressure while blipping and shifting is a sign of mastery.
Promo>SM 😅
Hey if your looking for a teammate im your guy
Sooooooooo deeeeeep lol
lol
The first time I read The Alchemist I changed my outlook on life, starting with my job. My life FLIPPED over the next year. I followed omens, listened to the desert, and took a huge leap, leaving everything in my life to work in the crystal shop…knowing it brought me closer to the treasure little by little. It did. And I found it. I checked you out for the Miata post, but subbed for this.
Hell yea!! I read that book at least once a year. I too, try and follow the omens. I’m proud of you. Not to many people listen and are brave enough to leave the crystal shop.
Is this really necessary for everyday driving? I always used the downshifting for braking the car to save wear on brakes. You can easily go through turns without ever needing to brake
It's only sort of useful while hard braking. If you do it on every corner then you're just a boy racer
It might be just the video, but there seems to a delay between seeing your foot blip the throttle and the sound of the engine response. Seems like quite a lag.
should we do this in a normal car like honda civic? just curious to know
I big toe little toe down shift myself because I don't find my foot flexible enough to press the accelerator with my heel.
Looks si cool! How long does it take to master this skill?
man i do this and my knee hits the steering stem D:
This video helped me alot doing screenshots with my car.
I'm confused we're is the clutch
Its the pedal on the left side being actuated by his left leg.
Why do we blip the gas?
To rev match the downshift to keep things smooth as you move to a lower gear
Why is this neccesary? Just for early down shifts?
It's the best way to break and downshift while not upsetting the car at or before the point of corner entry. Your revs will be too high to downshift before braking and shifting after you break will waste time so doing both tasks at once is the most efficient way.
That lppks stupid
i don't understand when and why you do this....nobody says that in any of these videos.....Do you do it when you are downshifting and have to brake cause you are coming into a turn?? and the idea is to get you on the gas faster??
Poetry in motion
Why release the clutch slowly? I’m learning manual in my 2015 mustang gt
Gotta ask, what type of car in the video?
I wish I never learned manual on a car with auto rev match. Its going to be hard to learn this method
People that can’t seem to keep consistent brake pressure, make sure the clutch is disconnected BEFORE swinging heel across, if you swing your heel across before disconnecting clutch, naturally the car will lurch forward anyway because it will gain abit more momentum, that’s what’s catching you out
I just absolutely can't do it. I can't process doing 4 things at once.
Do people actually doing this while down shifting, im just slowling releasing clutch not to jump back suddeny 😅
I’ve recently come across this concept but don’t get why you do it and why you would throttle when downshifting?
When I first learned to drive manual I was told to use the transmission to help slow down. I feel like a fool.
So does that mean my Polo is a racecar?
I never felt the need to do that.
My c7 rev matches automatically
I drive a stick shift car and I have no idea what the purpose of this is?
As someone with a big foot (long not wide), heel toe is so annoying. Still don't know how to properly heel toe. I usually end up just slowing down slower by brake clutch shift release brake blip off clutch brake. it makes the window either bigger or scarier
The hard part is braking consistently lol
I'm so bad at this, but I find the design of my car (E46 BMW) doesn't really help. The accelerator is anchored to the floor at the base (as in this video), and the height difference between the brake and accelerator is pretty significant. Definitely not impossible, but a bit beyond my capabilities...
Can't rev match in most cars.... Petals too far
